When keeping the lights on gets hard

Lyvenn began as a small, warm pet shop — the kind of place that felt like home. Here’s our story, from today back to the very first opening day in 1975.

After so many years of love and care, this year feels heavy. The shop has been struggling, and we’ve reached a moment we never wanted to face — possibly closing our doors.

Warm lights in the morning. Neat shelves. Familiar paws nearby. Even when business slowed down, the heart of the shop stayed the same.

Gifts were wrapped with care, not speed. Small details mattered. That’s what made Lyvenn feel less like a shop — and more like a safe place.

These were the years of regulars, laughter, and pets that felt like family. The shop was busy — warm, alive, and full of companionship.

Before anything was automated, it was all hands-on: arranging, fixing, preparing, and learning what pets (and their people) truly needed.

It started with a simple idea: a warm place for animals and the people who love them. From day one, Lyvenn was built on comfort, care, and companionship.
